The big event in October was Jubilee -- with many from Quads working to
make it happen. Jim and Sue Davis served as General Chair. Joe Dehn
was Assistant General Chair, Mary Gingell was Program Chair, Ray
Olszewski was Marketing Chair, Jan Hoover was Treasurer, and Betsy
Lasarow-Tozzi was Caller Procurement Chair. Our club caller John
Sybalsky was on the program as one of the SCVSDA Top Ten Callers. Bill
van Melle, Joe Dehn, and Rochelle Litchfield also called, and John Flora
cued rounds. Also helping out with setup and caller hospitality were
Bill Hoover, Dodie Hoover, Alan "Puck" Stevenson, and Rick Wilson.
Back in Palo Alto, we had two guest callers during November -- Ken Sale and Ken Ritucci. Also during November, Jim and Sue Davis attended Fiesta De La Cuadrilla and the California Square Dance Council meeting in San Diego. Our new class is moving along quickly, with a mix of beginners, returning dancers, and current Plus dancers interested getting a better grounding in All Position Dancing and/or "learning the other (boy/girl) part". Our Sunday evening schedule is now class 7-9pm, followed by two full Plus (APD) tips and then a few Advanced and Challenged tips. |
