Thank you to everyone who attended our Challenging Plus Hoedown in September, featuring our club caller John Sybalsky and club cuer John Flora. For photos of this and other recent events, visit: "http://www.stanfordquads.org/pix".

Also in September, Joe Dehn, Mary Gingell, and Bill van Melle called for us one Sunday when John was out of town. These three call on a weekly basis for Belle Swingers.

In October the big event was the 50th Annual Jubilee! Many people from Quads played key roles in making this happen, starting with General Chairman Jim Davis and Sue Lietz-Davis. Mary Gingell was Program Chair, planning the schedule and managing the participation of all the callers; she also created the committee banner. Joe Dehn served as Marketing Chair, Historian, and Webmaster, as well as the adult coordinator for the Youth Program -- which was put together by Julia and Michelle La Chance, with assistance from Debbie Winnett. Dana Mirsalis sang during the grand march ceremonies. Danielle Kosiorek, Chelsea Ranché, and Mariana Ranché returned to serve as the caller hospitality crew. Caroline Fifield provided caller transportation. And Dolores Ferrero and Barbara Geller prepared the refreshments for the committee afterparty.

Six members of Quads called at this Jubilee: Bill van Melle called several Challenge sessions from C-1 through C-3A. Joe Dehn called a C-1 session and taught the Introduction to Hexagons. Bill and Joe also both called during the DieHard session. Dana Mirsalis called during the Youth Callers session and Mary Gingell called during the Afterparty. Dana and Mary also both called during the Glow Dance session, as did Michelle and Julia La Chance. John Flora cued rounds during various sessions throughout the weekend.

Our Sunday schedule is now 7-9pm for the beginner class, with star tips from Plus on up starting at 9pm. Our class teaches APD from the start, so it is suitable for current Plus dancers who want APD practice as well as people without previous square dancing experience.
