Our October 2003 class, taught by our club caller John Sybalsky, has of this writing already learned many of the Plus calls. We are looking forward to them being able to use their new skills at the Golden State Roundup and other events throughout the summer.

Class members have been attending many of the recent newer dancer hoedowns. At the Sunnyvale Singles Spring Fling in March, Quads was recognized as the club with the highest attendance. Our two youngest class members, Robert Stice (5) and his sister Sara (7), had the honor of claiming the prize, a can of cookies.

In March, Joe Dehn completed one year of square dancing every day. That's dancing every day with at least seven other actual people (not just phantoms!), and to a live caller. Joe started his square dancing career in our October 2001 class. He would like to thank all the people from many clubs who made this feat possible -- for details visit the web page at http://www.dehnbase.org/sd/oneyear/.

Michelle La Chance has been appointed Youth Chair for the SCVSDA's 48th Annual Jubilee, to be held this October in San Jose. She joins four other Quads members already serving on the committee for this festival: Mary Gingell (Assistant General Chair), Joe Dehn (Historian), Jim Davis (Goodwill Ambassador), and Kindra Van Spyk (Vendor Chair).
